Your Server - Find a Solution that Works
Perhaps one of the most pressing issues for IT departments
today is the integration of disparate systems -- databases, workflow,
desktop productivity applications, voice, email, and fax. In a period
where competitive pressures require that corporations do “more
with less,” these integration strategies are essential for providing
high returns on technology investments.
Fax is particularly indispensable when it comes to processes that involve
the world beyond the enterprise network. Fax is often the medium of choice
for such communications because:
- there is no e-mail address available for the specific recipient;
- the recipient does not have a computer;
- the two parties either can’t or don’t want to deal
with file format issues;
- a fax image cannot be altered and is therefore a more secure message
medium; the time stamp and authentication that fax provides
is a requirement of the process;
- hard copy is often more convenient than digital data;
- faxes are easy to annotate and share with others;
- and with FACSys®, you can fax every document you can print,
giving you the ability to easily distribute your information.
WHY FACSys®?
- FACSys® Fax Messaging Gateway is a client-server based application
that facilitates the sending and receiving fax messages from your
computer, e-mail application and/or any application software.
- FACSys® was the FIRST faxserver product developed for the Microsoft
NT platform in 1995 and still in use today at the highest levels
of prestigous software companies including Microsoft Corporation.
- FACSys® has the fastest, most efficient server side fax engine
on the market.
- FACSys® has the most efficient open API (Active Fax Messaging
Software Development Kit) - Fax-enable your application in a matter
of hours!
- FACSys® has very high satisfaction ratings from users, resellers
and developers.
- When you buy FACSys® you get the emFAST TEAM on your side.
Nothing else has more value than that!
MANY CHOICES
Print to Fax: using the FACSys® client software
you can 'print to fax', just like printing to a printer.
FAX to and from e-mail: using your e-mail system
(Exchange, Notes, Groupwise, SMTP) you can e-mail a message with an
attachment that gets converted to a fax image and sent directly from
your mail system. You can receive faxes directly into your inbox using
DID or DNIS routing. Some configuration and rendering tools are required
on the FACSys® server to render PDF's, DOC and XLS files.
Fax enable your application: using Active Fax Messaging
is emFAST's latest advance in fax integration technology. Utilizing
the ActiveX/COM model, writing custom fax-enabled applications is made
easier than ever. At the same time, developers have access to a wider
range of FACSys® features than before. Please navigate the documentation

FACSys® LICENSING MODELS
There are four licensing models for FACSys® — FACSys® LITE,
FACSys® SBS, FACSys® Channel Licensing, and FACSys® Client
Licensing — which means you have the ability to cost-effectively
tailor FACSys® to your size of environment and your faxing requirements.
FACSys® Client licensing
The traditional method used by FACSys®, each client that accesses the services
provided by the fax server must have a license. This licensing model is aimed
at those organizations where the majority of employees are fax users, ie a
travel centre.
FACSys® Channel licensing
The fax server is licensed on a per channel basis. Each line or channel on
the fax board requires a license. There is unlimited client licenses. This
license is aimed at the organization with many potential fax users but with
overall low volumes, ie a manufacturing plant.
FACSys® SBS
FACSys® SBS installs on a Microsoft® Small Business Server and is suited
to a company with 10 to 75 users needing up to 4 channels of fax bandwidth.
Even though SBS® comes with its own built-in faxserver (MS Shared Fax),
there are many benefits to deploying a FACSys® server on an SBS system.
These benefits are detailed in our paper “FACSys® SBS”. FACSys® SBS
comes with 30 day FREE remote installation and support included for all Australian
customers.
FACSys® LITE
FACSys® LITE was created for the smaller customer who needs up to 10 users
and 2 channels. FACSys® LITE also comes with 30 day FREE remote installation
and support included for all Australian customers.
